About Us
CodeXX is a nonprofit created to fulfill one goal: to empower girls through code. Currently, less than 18% of computer science graduates are women. Women hold only 25% of computing jobs. Even less are women of color. While women remain underrepresented in the tech industry, CodeXX is dedicated to ending this issue by encouraging girls to code. We hope to reach out to girls interested in building a sense of community, new friendships, and passion for computer programming.

By creating a learning environment conducive to girls, where they feel supported to make uncharted forays into coding and where they will not be judged for their mistakes, we are giving them a better chance to join the arena of computer science.

Our Mission
Our mission is to close the gender gap in the tech industry by getting more girls involved in computer science while making a positive impact on the surrounding community. With the knowledge, experience, and networks the girls gain during the summer camp they are able to successfully challenge the preconceived notions against them and involve themselves in one of the fastest growing industries in the world.
Our Vision
Our vision is to see girls from all walks of life come together to define the future of computer science. With such little female representation in the computer science field, CodeXX strives to fill this gap with empowered and capable young women.
